Pakistan Beat India to Win the Kabaddi World Cup Final 2020

Pakistan is now the sultan of Kabaddi. A historic win against six times world champion India at Punjab Stadium, Lahore. It was a mouthwatering Kabaddi final played between archrivals Pakistan and India, where Pakistan beats India to win the Kabaddi World Cup Final 2020.

Of course, it was the final of Kabaddi world cup which is no doubt a mega event but the clash was not only important because it was the final match there is another reason for this important encounter that who the opponents are?

Yes, Pakistan and India. When it’s between Pakistan and Indian than no matter what sport, which when happens, it’s not less than a war either its cricket or whatever sports, it is always great to watch them playing do and die matches.

It was an eight-day long event that started from February 9 to February 16.

10 countries participated in the event including Australia, England, India, Kenya, Germany, Iran, Azerbaijan, Sierra Leone, and Canada. The matches were played in Lahore, Faisalabad, and Gujrat.

India played its 7th final while It is for the fifth time that Pakistan has qualified for the final of mega-event and won the title for the first time.

Pakistan sustained their grip on the match and managed to reach the final for the fifth time.

1st Semifinal was played between India and Australia while the 2nd Semifinal was played between Iran and Pakistan.

The strong Indian team outclassed Australia by 42-32 while Pakistan defeated Iran with a decent margin of 52-30 and won the encounter to set up final with India.

Players from both the sides displayed world-class kabaddi during the tough competition. The contest remained neck to neck throughout the fixed time. In the beginning, the defending champions India maintained their supremacy in the first half by 24-18 than Pakistan started to build pressure and leveled the match at 32 points. For the very first time, Pakistan emerged victoriously and became the world champion of kabaddi.

Muhammad Irfan aka Manna Jutt was leading the team and star raider Shafiq Chishti along with Manna were the star performers of the contest, rarely ever missing a raiding opportunity

India won six-time in Kabaddi world cups and has beaten Pakistan in four finals and It is for the fifth time that Pakistan has qualified for finals, added to this India won all previous 6 edition of Kabaddi world cups on their own backyard. This time the event is organized in Pakistan and It’s the very first title for Pakistan in this global event. Home ground and the electrifying crowd played a vital role and Pakistan created history by beating arch-rival India in the gripping finale.

 

Champions were awarded a cash price of 10 million rupees along with the trophy while runner up was given 7.5 million rupees’ cash by the chief guest. Governor Punjab Chaudhary Muhammad Sarwar was the chief guest of the final match.

A very well deserved victory by team Pakistan after closely fought final with the Tarka of Punjabi commentary with an unbelievable atmosphere.

1st cricked came back to Pakistan and now Kabaddi’s world cup, it’s great to see the revival of sports activities in Pakistan and thank you for all the teams for coming to Pakistan and for participating in the event.
