Multan Sultan’s third victory in a row at their home ground and topped the point table by beating the strong side of HBL PSL Quetta Gladiator the defending champions.
Batting first Multan set the target of 200 for the loss of 5 wickets in 20 overs and Quetta scored 169/7 in 20 overs. Rilee Rossouw scored the first-ever fastest unbeaten 100 in PSL keeps Multan on top of the table.

Match Summary
Shan Masood won the toss and elected to bat first, the first-ever skipper who choose to bat first in HBL PSL.
Naseem Shah began brightly for Gladiators and took Zeeshan’s wicket when Multan’s score was 23 in four overs and Muhammad Nawas sent back James Vince to the pavilion.
By the end of eight over Multan lost three wickets at 48 runs then Rossouw’s aggressive batting and skipper Shan Masood’s partnership of 139 off 64 balls with Rossouw helped Multan to set a target of 200 to the defending champion Quetta.
Rossouw smashed six sixes and ten fours to complete his century. Masood helped him and scored 46 off 32. Rossouw just damaged the bowling of Quetta and left their bowlers helpless.
In response, Quetta scored 169 runs in 20 overs. Openers Shane Watson and Jason Roy gave a good start to Quetta. Roy scored 30 off 27 balls and Watson smashed 80 runs off 41 balls, hit seven sixes and equal fours but got caught at the boundary in 16th over.

No other batsmen succeeded to impress the fans even skipper sent bowlers Anwar Ali and Sohail before him and all failed in front of Multan’s bowling attack. Anwar Ali is the hitter of the ball no doubt but why he sent Sohail and not came for batting himself or sent Nawaz is still a question.
Bilawal Bhatti who replaced Shahid Afridi because of the injury became the star of the night as his devastating spell helped Multan to win the contest. He dismissed three players and gave 27 runs while Imran Tahir got two wickets and gave 27 runs.
