Lahore trashed batting line up of Quetta Gladiators in 21st match of HBL PSL-V

Its the second win for Lahore Qalandars in HBL PSL-V against Quetta Gladiators twice. Lahore Qalandars stuns Gladiators with their death bowling and restrict them to the lowest total of 98 in 20 overs.

Match summary

Lahore won the toss and elected to field first.

The batting line up of Quetta Gladiators collapsed against the bowling attack of Lahore Qalandars.

Shaheen Shah Afridi took Watson’s wicket in the very first over of innings. Ahmed Shehzad throws his wicket yet again by hitting it straight to backward point.

Things turned from bad to worst for Quetta as half of the Quetta side was gone, their six batsmen were sent back to the pavilion at the lowest score of 21.

It was Samit Patel who delivered a triple wicket maiden. His bowling figures were exceptional 4 on 5 in four overs. The best bowling spell of HBL PSL so far.

not a single batsmen except Sohail scored more than 20 runs. Sohail Khan was the top scorer with 32 runs and he was the one who ensures Quetta play out their 20 overs.

Shane Watson, Azam Khan, and Ben Cutting didn’t score a run. Nawaz and Sarfraz’s performance was zero.

Quetta Gladiators finished their innings at the lowest total of 98

Qalandars conveniently chased down a total of 98 for the loss of two wickets in 11.5 overs.

Lahore lost their first wicket at the score of 27 and Fakhar Zaman departed on Nawaz’s delivery and at the score of 32 Sarfraz stumped Sohail Akhtar. Openers were back to pavilion but Lahore Qalandars were not worried as they have to chase down just 98 runs

Professor Hafeez and Ben Dunk chased down the target of 99 runs in 11.5 overs and won the match by eight wickets. Hafeez scored 39 while Ben Dunk scored 30 runs.

Samit Patel left-arm spinner for his incredible spell and death bowling declared as Player of the match. He was on fire and took 4 wickets and gave just 5 runs in four overs. Due to his spell, Quetta was bound to score 98 in 20 overs.

Things are worst for the defending champion Quetta as they are now on the bottom of the point table. They need a strong come back to stay in the game.
