Wahab Riaz was leading the Zalmi’s team as Daren Sammy was on rest and Carlos Brathwaite played his first match from Peshawar Zalmi.
Karachi made a change in team as Aamer Yamin replaced Umaid Asif. Both teams faced each other the second time in HBL PSL-V and Karachi emerged victorious in both games against Zalmi.

Karachi Kings won the toss and opted to bowl first.
Muhammad Amir’s destructive spell provided Karachi with an early advantage as Zalmi’s Opener Banton and Haider Ali dismissed in first over.
Even Kamran Akmal failed to cross double figures and got caught by Babar Azam in Amamer Yamin’s Delivery.

Chasing 152 in the early over Karachi too lost their opener, Sharjeel Kahn, at the score of 4 by Hassan Ali but Alex Hales 49 and Babar’s unbeaten 70 off 59 balls made sure that there will be no twist in the tail.
The 101 partnership between Hales and Babar break Zalmi’s back. Babar Azam innings took time but unfortunately, Alex failed to complete his half-century just by one run and got out at 49 courtesy Yasir Shah.

Delport just scored two runs and hit straight to the fielder in the deep, Yasir Shah dismissed him and sent two batsmen to pavilion in the same over but the damage has already done and Zalmi seems to have given up.
Babar Azam played the winning shot with 11 balls remaining and Karachi won by six wickets.

Muhammad Amir is no doubt tremendously great T20 bowler and because of his magical spell, he was declared as the player of the match. He dismissed 4 players. 4-25.
Karachi consecutive win helped him to secure 3rd position in point table sharing 6 points along with defending champions Quetta Gladiators and Peshawar dropped down to 5th place as they won just 2 matches from total 6.
