The UAE researchers have developed Stem Therapy to Treat COVID-19 patients. It’s an aerosol (spray) medicine that has shown favorable results in the treatment of Covid-19.
A drug against Covid-19 developed by Abu Dhabi Stem Cell Centre was used on 73 infected patients with and 25 % of those patients were in ICU.
All of them involved in the trial must be the happiest people on earth following their full recovery from the coronavirus infection that has ravaged the world.
The researchers have confirmed that they’re at the leading edge of this breakthrough in medicine.
The first patient was treated on April 4. Researchers Abu Dhabi Stem Cell Centre is to rise to test on stem cell treatment that seemed to help COVID-19 infected patients to recover.

Who Develop Stem Cell Therapy?
The team of doctors and researchers at the Abu Dhabi Stem Cell Center (ADSCC) developed the stem cell treatment.
The UAE Ministry of Economy has been granted a patent to the center for the development of an innovative and promising cure for COVID-19 infections using stem cells.
The Abu Dhabi Stem Cells Centre (ADSCC) is a specialist healthcare center that focuses on cell therapy, regenerative medicine, and cutting-edge research.

What is Stem Cell?
A stem cell is a cell with the matchless capacity to develop into specialized cell types in the body. It’s the basic building block of life.
In the future, they may be used to replace cells and tissues that have been broken, hurt, or lost due to the disease.
They can become cells of any body part like blood, heart, lungs.
The experts say, stem cells also have a robust secretory function, helping the formation of new blood vessels, cell proliferation, and differentiation and inhibiting the inflammatory response.
How does Stem Cell Therapy Work?
It contains extracting stem cells from the patient’s own blood and restoring them after “activating” them.
The patent was granted by the government of UAE for the method in which the stem cells are collected.
After it has been nebulized into a fine mist, the treatment is inhaled into the lungs of a patient.
This treatment includes antimalarial drugs such as hydroxychloroquine, which regulates how the immune system reacts to the virus.
It also includes remedies that were developed to fight against Ebola and interferes with the virus’s and limiting it from spreading in the body.
The treatment has successfully undergone the initial phase of clinical trials, demonstrating its safety.
Effects of Stem Cell Therapy
Not a single patient who was treated with the mist reported adverse effects, according to the Abu Dhabi research team.
More importantly, there have been no connections found with the conventional treatment protocols forCOVID-19 infected patients.
Researchers believe it has a healing effect caused by the rebirth of lung cells.
It is also thought to control the immune response to keep it from overreacting to the virus and causing further damage to healthy cells.
In a televised press conference, the head of hematology and oncology at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City and a researcher at the center, Dr. Fatima Al Kaabi said
“This is a big achievement … the next step will be increasing the efficacy of the treatment and implementing it on a larger scale,”
She further said, researchers believe it “reduced inflammation in the lung tissue”.
UAE leaders hail development
The UAE’s leaders including President, Vice President, Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, Ruler of Dubai, and Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi thanked the team of doctors who developed the stem Therapy to Treat COVID-19.
The researcher’s efforts will add to the global efforts to combat the pandemic.
The country will continue to take positive measures to safeguard its citizens, residents, and visitors, they said, adding that people’s health and safety are given top priority.
A special tribute was paid to front-line healthcare professionals, including nurses, doctors, and paramedics.
Every other country across the globe are looking for medical treatment or vaccine to cure deadly COVID-19.
Several vaccine trials are underway for COVID-19, but a safe and effective one is still at least a year away.
In the absence of any vaccine or effective cure, staying home and social distancing are the only measures to stop the spread of COVID-19.
