Quetta the underdogs of Pakistan Super League and the most consistent team of all the seasons of HBL PSL started their PSL campaign with the victory. However, they lost against Peshawar in their 2nd match. Quetta Gladiators beat Kings on their home ground by 5 wickets.

Match Summary
Karachi won the toss and elected to bat first. King’s starts was not great as they lose their wickets at regular intervals inside the powerplay. In the previous match, Kings were dominant by beating Peshawar Zalmi in a thrilling match but in this game, they badly failed to do so.
Babar Azam scored 26 off 30 balls and bowled out by Tymal Mills. Then Muhammad Nawaz sent back Sharjeel to the pavilion.
Alex Hales notched 29 on 27 balls and Iftikhar scored 25 on 18 balls. Muhammad Hasnain and Tymal mills brilliant bowling restrict Karachi king’s batsman to entering into the thirties and Kings ended their inning with 156/9 runs in 20 overs.
Quetta’s start was good but their openers got ran out. Watson smashed two four and two huge sixes and departed at 27 off 20 balls. Sarfraz the skipper played till the end like what a skipper does and remained unbeaten on 37 off 28 balls. Azam Khan sported the skipper well by his brilliant knock of 46 runs off 30 balls but ran out due to Sarfraz’s fault.

Quetta needed 6 runs on 7 balls and Anwar Ali winning hit give the gladiators their second win in HBL PSL-V.
