Our nation is suffering from a huge disaster of COVID-19 and here comes another issue of poor management. The expired ration was distributed among needy people in Thatta district. The case of poor management was exposed after the confirmation of a child’s worse condition due to the consumption of this ration. The victim of this case appeals to the government to take action against the responsible.
Thatta district was giving ration that was expired in 2002,2006 and 2008. Is not that an alarming condition? What you are doing with needy people?
The decision of lockdown by the Sindh government was too early to manage the worse effects of this lockdown. Many poor people earn on daily basis to compensate for their daily needs of food. Due to early lockdown and poor management, those people are suffering more. How can they manage their daily requirements for food? They all need our support to live.
Sindh government has announced ration distribution among poor people who need help to survive. But there is again an issue of poor management or irresponsible persons who are working along to help people. Life of many peoples are may be in danger due to expire ration consumption.
Sindh government should think seriously about the distribution of the right ration among the right people. In Interior Sindh, many people are looking for help in this worse condition. All they need is our support to survive. Poor management shows that the Sindh government is not doing the required steps to overcome the crises.
The deputy commissioner Thatta has refused to comment on the expired ration distribution. There is no case registered on this serious matter of taking people’s lives at stake. People are looking for help from the government nowadays. If the government is not going to take action against the responsible then there will be more chances of happening of the same case again. People’s lives are in danger, needy peoples want food to feed themselves and their children.
Sindh government should take proper steps to distribute ration among the right people and through the right people. They should make a task force for the distribution of ration among needy people. The task force should be responsible for the distribution of ration either it is expired or not with proper health precautions as well.
They should make sure that no more cases will arise like in Thatta. People life is more important to be saved.
