This Friday, Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly and PML-N President Mr. Shehbaz Sharif stated that medical experts advised him to restrict his movement due to severe threats to his life from COVID-19 as he was a survivor of Cancer. PML-N President said that the NAB National Accountability Bureau grants him an expansion for his presence.
NAB had called up the Leader of the Opposition this Friday, to answer the questionnaires about his foreign assets and other businesses in the case of money laundering. Although multiple calls up notices and questionnaires were issued to PML-N President, but till now he is unable to provide a satisfying answer.
These questionnaires by NAB was about the business income and its revenue along with the investment of PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif. The expenditures acquire during the period of time when his Model Town residence became Chief Minister office.
According to the Leader of the Opposition, all the evidence was provided during the time when he was in NAB custody on Physical remand. This is really an unfortunate condition of NAB is asking that the replies from him are unsatisfying. Mr. Shehbaz Sharif said that all his assets are on the record and already declared to concerned authorities.
PML-N leader further commenting on his absence, said that “his physical condition does not allow him to move freely, as the doctors advised him to restrict his movement. He is 69 years old cancer survivor with a weak immune system. Medical professionals said to him that due to his health conditions his life is in the risk of COVID-19 threat”.
Mr. shehbaz Sharif also said that due to lock down the requirements from NAB can’t be fulfilled.
The money laundering case is still open against PML-N leader Shehbaz Sharif. NAB is continuously asking for the evidence of all his businesses, property and income. Mr. Shehbaz Sharif was also arrested by NAB in his money laundering case. But still, the case is open. The Leader of the Opposition is still unable to convince the NAB on his property assets. He is continuously denying the charge on him about his assets.
The facts and figures are quite different from Mr. Shehbaz Sharif’s statements. It will make the case really complicated for the leader of the opposition.
